2001 BMW E46 M3 sells for $19,500 with 190k miles! 6 speed Laguna Seca Blue accident 5 owners M3List

Good deal or bad deal? What do you think? 2001 BMW E46 M3 in Laguna Seca Blue with 190k miles and an accident report sold for $19,500 just a few days ago on @bringatrailer.


Carfax report lists “disabling damage” occurring to the front of the car. Cracks in the body filler on the left-rear quarter panel were repaired in 2019, at which time the decklid, rear bumper cover, and rear quarter panels were refinished. The seller notes that cracked body filler is visible on the left-rear quarter panel, and additional blemishes reported by the seller include a cracked windshield, stone chips on the front fascia, and areas of worn finish on the hood and roof.


The seller states that the car is equipped with a ZHP-specification steering gear, Turner Motorsports anti-roll bars, ECS Tuning coilovers, lower control arm travel limiters, urethane lower control arm bushings, Reddish rear subframe plates, and ECS Tuning CSL-style front brake caliper brackets and front brake rotors. Maintenance performed under current ownership is said to have included replacing the left-front lower control arm in 2014, changing the rear shock mounts in 2015, and replacing power steering lines and overhauling the front brake calipers in 2016 as well as replacing the steering rack circa 2019.


The digital odometer indicates 190k miles, approximately 57k of which have been added by the seller. The seller notes that the airbag and taillight warning lights are illuminated. The car is not currently equipped with catalytic converters. The seller notes a fluid leak from the engine bay as well as corrosion near a jack point.
