29k miles on NEW (not rebuilt) engine and everything attached to it. Every single nut and bolt for this new engine build was directly purchased from BMW of San Antonio TX have all original receipts. Pretty much everything under the hood was replaced with either brand new factory original items unless mentioned otherwise.
The NEW engine was built from scratch on a stand with new parts while the car was still being driven with the original engine. Nothing used from the original engine went onto the new one.

Engine: The NEW engine was built from scratch on a stand with new parts while the car was still being driven with the original engine (see pics) Nothing used from the original engine went onto the new one.
The bearings and pistons are standard and not oversized because everything is original and NEW not re-machined. The Cylinder head was built by VAC Motorsports (STAGE 1) and the oil pump is a VAC high volume competition build of the original BMW pump (20% higher volume than original). The VANOS system is completely rebuilt with Beisan parts ( solenoid pack, oil pump disk, sealing plate kit, seals & rattle repair kit) Also NEW is the problematic stock exhaust hub replaced with a $700 beefed up VAC-VH-S54 hub.

Items I never got to:
Drivers side/door mirror base oxidized causing paint to lift. This is common on the E46’s (passenger side is OK) see pics
I have all original receipts for every nut and bolt listed and for all else that I was not able to remember to list on here.
175k on the cluster. 29k on the NEW motor ( and everything attached to it) and all or most mechanical and interior exterior trim pieces etc parts listed above. $38-40,000 invested in parts alone, most of which purchased at cost.
