Imported from Germany in late 2003,
the Factory Dinan s2 was installed by
Ralph Schomp BMW, shortly after
production and prior to being listed for
sale in 2004. It was purchased by the
first owner in mid 2004 and owner for
approximately 3 years until 2007. The
second owner had it for the following 13
years until I purchased it at the
beginning of 2021. Each of the previous
owners took excellent care of the
vehicle. The majority of miles were put
on by the second owner throughout his
years of ownership, mainly doing
highway miles around Southern
California. This m3 has always been
adult driven, garage kept, never driven in
the snow, and excellently maintained.
As far as the notorious "big 3":
Subframe was reinforced preventatively
last spring with Bimmerworld Plates. No
damage or cracks at time of
reinforcement.
Rod bearings have not been replaced. I
have two blackstone oil analysis within
the last year showing no issues
Vanos has not been addressed. Have
not had any issues so far and car shows
no signs of any sort of vanos issue.
Service two was also performed last
year including a valve adjustment
(where only one valve needed minimal
adjusting), transmission service, diff
service, etc.
Roughly 15k of maintenance and
upgrades within the last year alone.
