This is not a show car if you're looking for one. I wanted a drivers car so I knew exactly what I was getting. Body is not without its flaws. It's a 15 year old vehicle but overall, it's in excellent shape. Interior is mint. Clean California title on hand.
I have had this car since January of 2021 with 90k miles on it & have put tons of maintenance into the vehicle. I have modded the vehicle to do light track work as well. No expense was spared for my purpose under my ownership. Rod bearings & throttle actuators both replaced. Car is in near perfect condition mechanically.
Maintenance List:
All done at BMW of San Francisco unless listed otherwise.
02/2021 91,114 Oil change & Positive battery cable recall.
02/2021 91,333 Spark Plugs & Manual transmission service.
02/2021 91,456 Replace valve cover gaskets due to leak. Replaced front & rear brake pads to Ferodo DS2500
04/2021 91,890 Replace rod bearings with Lang Racing ACL bearing along with all necessary parts (motor mounts, oil pan gaskets, belts, bolts, etc. All new hardware).
05/2021 92,670 Oil filter housing gasket replaced due to leak.
06/2021 92,913 Performed oil service again. I did this because I wanted to do another oil change after the rod bearing replacement.
06/2021 93,026 Replace both xenon bulbs with Osram Cool Blue 5500k. Bulbs were still working, I just wanted a more white light.
07/2021 93,360 Started having a coolant leak from the radiator. Replaced radiator along with both vent pipes, upper & lower radiator hose due to age. Performed coolant flush. Brake fluid service. Performed Oil Service.
08/2021 93,850 Replaced both left door glass black channels. They were both faded.
09/2021 95,285 Replaced 12v battery..
08/2022 97,742 Both throttle actuators replaced. Replaced idle control valve, Replaced breather valve. Performed oil service.
01/2023 98,628 Passenger side valve cover started leaking again from the oil cap area. Common on these valve cover as the magnesium paint starts chipping. Replaced with new valve cover. Replace oil cap with E46 M3 oil cap (tighter fit).
Cons:
Hood shocks need to be replaced. I have a tool to keep it open so never replaced it.
Driver side headlight washer nozzle fell off. When headlights are on & using washer fluid, the headlight washer will shoot straight up to the hood.
There might be some more mods & maintenance that I can't think of right now. Overall, the vehicle is in excellent shape. I have put a ton of time & money into it.
